Welcome to Goldway Ranch Golden Retrievers!

We are located in beautiful green East Texas on 22 acres with rolling pastures, wooded areas and a lovely tree lined pond. We share our home with our dog kids, a few cattle, a horse, donkeys, and cats!

I am recently retired but have spent most of my life involved with dogs and cats. I worked as a licensed Veterinarian Technician in California for 30 years, the last 20 of which I worked at a Guide Dog organization in the Breeding/Puppy Department. So I have spent many years involved with dogs and puppies bred and trained for service jobs.

My husband and I have owned many breeds over the years, but our true love is the Goldens. They are fantastic family dogs, smart, gentle, friendly, and devoted. I think for most families they are a wonderful choice.

I take health and temperament very seriously. Most of our adults are full European (English) bred, we also have some excellent American lines. We love all the golden colors so you will find dogs and puppies here from cream to gold. We focus on dogs with calmer, sweet temperaments that fit well in family homes. Goldens from hunting, agility, and other sporting lines are much higher energy. I admire them but personally prefer dogs that are a bit calmer and easier to live with. Because we want to have lots of time with our dogs and litters of puppies, we rarely have more than 2 litters a year.
